Description
St James Way – Camino Inglés To Santiago
Reading To Southampton
The St James Way is the authentic English start to the Camino de Santiago. Follow in the footsteps of pilgrims as we embark on this incredible journey from the ruins of Reading Abbey and make our way to Southampton where pilgrims would have continued on their journey to Santiago.
Our route takes us through rolling countryside and along canal and river paths which boasts spectacular views and are steeped in history. Normally pilgrims would take between 5-7 days to complete all 70 miles but we have only 3 days to make the journey and reach our final destination of Southampton.
Participants can expect a challenging yet rewarding trek, guided by experienced leaders who ensure safety and enjoyment. This unique journey offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, providing plenty of moments of tranquility and awe.
Upon signing up, you’ll receive a comprehensive PDF packed with all the event details, training plans, and essential information you need to prepare for this incredible adventure. This guide ensures you’re fully equipped and ready to make the most of your St James way event.

Under 18s taking part cannot sign themselves up – they must be signed up by someone over 18.
Once they’ve registered with us, it will take about 5-7 working days to add them onto our registration forms, and you can then sign up to your chosen challenge in aid of them.
Alternatively you can Self Fund your place and fundraise for them independently with no fundraising commitment.
Please note: the above is relevant for Charity Sponsorship or Mixed Funding places only. If you are entering as a Self Funder you can fundraise for any charity of your choice (only if you want to) & we do not need to be informed.
If you join as a Self Funder however, you have complete flexibility on who you fundraise for – with no targets or deadlines, and no cost to those charities.
