Take on a stunning ridge walk across the Malvern Hills, with sweeping views and summit after summit. Choose from two routes: the classic End to End (9 miles) or the ultimate test – The Double (18 miles out and back). With big climbs, beautiful scenery, and full support from our expert team, this is a challenge that promises both adventure and achievement.

End to End

Option 1 – Self funded: £60 fee paid online & no fundraising commitment.

Option 2 – Charity sponsorship: £10 reg fee paid online & at least £250 charity sponsorship.

Option 3 – Mixed fundraising: £30 reg fee paid online & at least £200 charity sponsorship.

The Double

Option 1 – Self funded: £90 fee paid online & no fundraising commitment.

Malvern Hills Challenge

Take on a stunning adventure across one of England’s most iconic ridgelines with the Malvern Hills Challenge. This epic linear walk follows the full length of the Malvern Ridge, from North Hill to Chase End, covering every major summit along the way.

With panoramic views stretching across the Severn Valley and into Wales on clear days, this is a challenge packed with natural beauty, rich history, and a real sense of achievement.

We offer two exciting options to suit your level of adventure:

Option 1: End to End
Take on the classic ridge route, heading North to South across all the Malvern peaks. At the finish, hop on our pre-arranged minibus back to the start and enjoy the satisfaction of completing this stunning 9-mile challenge.

Distance: 9 miles
Total Ascent: 978m
Difficulty: Moderate

Option 2: The Double
Not enough to do it once? We’ve got you. Walk North to South across the entire ridge – then turn around and do it all again! This option doubles the distance and elevation for those truly looking to test their endurance.

Distance: 18 miles
Total Ascent: Nearly 2,000m
Difficulty: Tough

Who Is This Event For?

The Malvern Hills Challenge is perfect for walkers who love a scenic adventure with a good dose of elevation! Whether you’re looking to take on a rewarding one-way trek or push yourself with a full out-and-back route, there’s an option for you.

The End to End is ideal for those with a moderate level of fitness who enjoy a full day of steady walking, climbs, and incredible views – with the bonus of a minibus ride back to the start.

The Double is for experienced hikers or those looking to seriously challenge themselves, covering 18 miles and almost 2,000m of ascent in one powerful day.

Whichever you choose, this event is for anyone who enjoys beautiful landscapes, ridge walking, and testing their endurance with the support of a friendly, like-minded group. Training and preparation are recommended, especially for those tackling the Double – this is a day your legs (and camera roll) won’t forget!

You Will Need To Bring:
  • Suitable walking boots (with ankle support)
  • Appropriate clothing for the walk
  • Waterproof Jacket and trousers
  • Spare warm layer
  • Hat and gloves
  • Food, snacks and water (minimum 1.5 litre’s) for the walk
  • Camera to capture the adventure (optional)
  • Walking poles (optional)

Once you’ve registered, we’ll pass your contact details to your selected charity. They’ll then get in touch to support you with your fundraising journey and offer any guidance you need. Your charity will also let you know which fundraising platform they prefer you to use, helping you get set up and ready to start raising those all-important donations.

Please Note:

The walk will take place in most weather but the leader will reserve final judgement on the day (in most cases) and maintains the right to abandon any walk if they feel the safety of themselves or any participant is at risk.
