Scafell Pike Sunrise Challenge

Join us for a truly unforgettable experience as we climb Scafell Pike – the highest mountain in England – by moonlight, aiming to reach the summit just in time to watch the sunrise over the stunning Lake District landscape.

This is not just a hike – it’s a real challenge. Starting in the early hours, we’ll ascend in the dark by headtorch, climbing steep and rocky paths before the first light breaks. At 978 metres, the summit of Scafell Pike offers one of the most breathtaking sunrise views in the UK – and the sense of achievement is unmatched.

This is a physically demanding event, and participants will need a good level of fitness and the ability to hike on uneven, mountainous terrain for several hours. While the pace will be steady, the route includes sustained climbs and descents, and we strongly recommend training in advance.

You’ll be fully supported by our experienced mountain leaders, who will guide you safely up and down, keeping morale high and making sure everyone enjoys the journey.

Whether you’re here for the challenge, the views, or the bucket-list moment at the top, the Scafell Pike Sunrise Challenge promises to be a magical and rewarding mountain adventure you’ll never forget.
