Who Is This Event For?

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is for anyone with a sense of adventure and a determination to push themselves – whether you’re walking for charity, chasing a personal goal, or just love a good day out in the hills.

You don’t need to be an elite athlete, but this is a serious physical challenge. The route covers 24.5 miles with over 1,500m of total ascent – all to be completed within 12 hours. That’s why we recommend regular training in the months leading up to the event to help build your stamina and make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

If you’re comfortable walking for 6-10 hours, tackling hills, and staying positive in all weather, you’ll fit right in. The challenge is fully supported by qualified, friendly guides who are there to pace the group, keep you safe, and make sure you’re having fun every step of the way.

Upon signing up, you’ll receive a comprehensive PDF packed with all the event details, training plans, and essential information you need to prepare for this incredible adventure. This guide ensures you’re fully equipped and ready to make the most of your Yorkshire three peaks experience.

Your Charity:

If you’re fundraising you’ll confirm which charity you’re supporting via the drop down menu above. Be careful to pick the correct one. Once registered your contact information will be passed to your chosen charity, they will be in touch to support you with your fundraising efforts.

Please Note:

The walk will take place in most weather but the leader will reserve final judgement on the day (in most cases) and maintains the right to abandon any walk if they feel the safety of themselves or any participant is at risk.

FAQ’S:

WHAT WILL I RECEIVE ONCE I REGISTER?IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?CAN I CHOOSE A CHARITY NOT LISTED?CAN I FUNDRAISE FOR TWO CHARITIES?WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM MY CHARITY?
You will receive a receipt via email, along with a comprehensive PDF containing information such as meeting times, fitness plans, kit list, etc. This is normally instant so please check your junk folder and allow up to 24 hours to arrive. If you do not receive this, please contact [email protected]
Yes if you are registering to take on the challenge solo then you must be 18 years or older. Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the event. Please let our team know of anyone under the age of 18 looking to register prior to sign up.

Under 18s taking part cannot sign themselves up – they must be signed up by someone over 18.

If there is a charity you would like to fundraise for that does not appear on our list, we ask that you speak with your preferred Charity about what you would like to do, and ask them to register with us via our short contact form which can be found on our website page www.eliteadventures.co.uk/charityregistration

Once they’ve registered with us, it will take about 5-7 working days to add them onto our registration forms, and you can then sign up to your chosen challenge in aid of them.

Alternatively you can Self Fund your place and fundraise for them independently with no fundraising commitment.

Please note: the above is relevant for Charity Sponsorship or Mixed Funding places only. If you are entering as a Self Funder you can fundraise for any charity of your choice (only if you want to) & we do not need to be informed.

If you are entering on a Charity Sponsorship or Mixed Funding place then NO – you must select one prime charity for your fundraising, and they must be registered with us. This is because your charity will be paying for a portion of your place on the event (out of the fundraising that you generate). If you wish to also fundraise for another charity, you can do so on your own terms but only as long as you reach the minimum fundraising target your first/prime charity.

If you join as a Self Funder however, you have complete flexibility on who you fundraise for – with no targets or deadlines, and no cost to those charities.

If you have chosen to fundraise for a charity, we will pass your details over to them and you can expect to hear from them within 14 days. If for some reason you do not hear from your charity after this time, please contact them directly or email [email protected]
