Get ready to take on one of the UK’s most iconic and demanding walking adventures! The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge will test your endurance as you summit Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m), and Ingleborough (723m) – all in under 12 hours.

Covering 24.5 miles of rugged trails, steep climbs, and breathtaking views across the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this circular route is a serious physical challenge – and not one to underestimate. You’ll need determination, stamina, and a good level of fitness to take it on – but the reward? A huge sense of accomplishment, an unforgettable day in the hills and an exclusive Elite Adventures Yorkshire Three Peaks medal.

Don’t worry – you won’t be tackling it alone. Our experienced and friendly mountain leaders will guide you every step of the way, keeping the pace, boosting morale, and helping the group stay strong from the first step to the final summit.

Whether you’re chasing a personal milestone, fundraising for a cause, or just up for a bold adventure, the Yorkshire Three Peaks delivers challenge, scenery, and team spirit in equal measure.

Who Is This Challenge For?

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is for anyone ready to push themselves and embrace a full day of adventure in the great outdoors. Whether you’re a keen walker looking for your next big goal, a charity fundraiser, or simply someone who loves a physical challenge with stunning scenery – this event is for you.

That said, it’s not an easy walk. Covering 24.5 miles with three serious ascents, this challenge demands a good level of fitness, stamina, and mental grit. You don’t need to be a mountain expert, but you do need to be prepared – regular training and long-distance walks in the lead-up are essential.

It’s ideal for those who enjoy being part of a supportive group, thrive on a challenge, and want to experience the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales in a truly unforgettable way.

If you’re ready to climb high, dig deep, and earn every view – then you’re in the right place.

You Will Need To Bring:

  • Suitable walking boots (with ankle support)
  • Appropriate clothing for the walk
  • Waterproof Jacket and trousers
  • Spare warm layer
  • Hat and gloves
  • Food, snacks and water (minimum 1.5 litre’s) for the walk
  • Camera to capture the adventure (optional)
  • Walking poles (optional)

Once you’ve registered, we’ll pass your contact details to your selected charity. They’ll then get in touch to support you with your fundraising journey and offer any guidance you need. Please Note:

The walk will take place in most weather but the leader will reserve final judgement on the day (in most cases) and maintains the right to abandon any walk if they feel the safety of themselves or any participant is at risk.
