Description
Snowdon Sunrise
Chase the horizon and experience Snowdon like never before – in the dark, under the stars, with the rising sun as your finish line.
Join a unique and unforgettable challenge as you hike through the early hours to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) – Wales’ highest mountain – all in a race against time to catch the first golden light of sunrise breaking over the peaks.
Starting under a blanket of stars, your journey begins in near silence, guided by headtorch and anticipation. The world around you is still, apart from the soft crunch of boots on the trail and the distant murmur of fellow adventurers sharing in something extraordinary.
As you climb, the darkness gradually gives way to deep blues and fiery orange hues. And then – at the summit, 1,085 metres above sea level – the moment you’ve been working for: the sun rising over the Snowdonia mountains, painting the valleys and ridgelines in breathtaking colour. It’s a view that rewards every step and stays with you forever.
Whether you’re doing it for charity, a personal goal, or just to see what you’re capable of – Snowdon at Sunrise is not just a hike. It’s a bucket list experience, a moment of peace, power, and perspective, far above the waking world.
Upon signing up, you’ll receive a comprehensive PDF packed with all the event details, training plans, and essential information you need to prepare for this incredible adventure. This guide ensures you’re fully equipped and ready to make the most of your Snowdon Sunrise experience.

Your Charity:
If you’re fundraising you’ll confirm which charity you’re supporting via the drop down menu above. Be careful to pick the correct one. Once registered your contact information will be passed to your chosen charity, they will be in touch to support you with your fundraising efforts.
Please Note:
Mountain weather can be fickle at the best of times and there is no guarantee that you will see the sunrise or even a view. The walk will take place in most weather but the leader will reserve final judgement on the day (in most cases) and maintains the right to abandon any walk if they feel the safety of themselves or any participant is at risk.
